Summer kicked off with a bang last weekend with the start of Summer in the City and the fourth annual Déise Pride festival. Lucky for us, there’s lots more to look forward to over the next few months. Here are some of the events you should check out this weekend.
This weekend, Waterford comes alive with the sound of music as Summer in the City begins and Pride of the Déise takes place.
Get ready for a host of festivities and entertainment this June Bank Holiday weekend (June 2 to 5) in Waterford when Pride of the Déise, a volunteer-led community organisation based in the city, will host its fourth annual event in celebration of solidarity and joy for the LGBTQIA+ community in the South East.
The entertainment for the run up to St. Patrick’s Day and the two days following sees a jam-packed line-up of entertainment and music—the full schedule caters to all the family. The live music kicks off on March 16 on the Cultural Quarter Stage (O’Connell Street) from 6 pm to 10 pm.
Waterford City is gearing up to mark the St. Patrick’s Day period in style this year with three packed days of craic agus ceol, live entertainment, music and tradition will take place from March 17th to March 19th alongside the traditional St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Time flies! We’re heading into the last three days of Winterval’s 10th year, and what a festival it has been. But it’s not over just yet…make the most of the final days by heading to the main stage on O’Connell Street for free live music to keep you entertained while you sup on a comforting mulled wine.
The weather is looking good for the weekend and the Winterval Main stage on O’Connell Street will be jam packed with entertainment to cater for the young and old(er). With live music, comedians, kids’ discos, sword swallowers and street entertainers, here’s what we can look forward to.
