  • We ordered mezze for our daughters christening and the food was sensational. Would highly recommend to anyone. The staff were lovely to deal with and it came with instructions to heat. Thanks Nicole, Dvir and team.

  • A vegan meetup for nine people was organised in Mezze on Saturday 14 May at 2pm. We were shown to our table in a very comfortable spot in the inside terrace and welcomed warmly. First of all, we were brought some delicious pates - sundried tomato, smoked seaweed and buckwheat with mushroom from the local producer Plante along with Mezze's famous crispy flatbreads. Some of us had already met and there were also some new to the group and there was a lovely atmosphere. Next we were brought a starter platter of really gorgeous dips - a spicy butternut squash one really stood out for me. There was the best of hummus, beetroot salad, plump olives, pickles and toasted almonds. We grazed at leisure in the ambient hum of the restaurant. Mains followed. Oh what joy to have a Lebanese moussaka which was chickpea and aubergine in a rich sauce, served with aromatic rice cooked with cinnamon and a light green salad. We were served fantastic falafel in a herby tahini sauce and whilst the others all reached their limit, I could have eaten all day because the food is just heavenly. We also were brought bread and were supplied with the lovely flatbreads throughout. I was delighted to hear my companions saying they might be too full for dessert - I did offer to eat all for the cause and for the team but my generosity was rebuffed because when the unctuous stuffed medjool dates arrived along with an assortment of nuts, a dainty cookie stuffed with dates and a coconut pudding topped with raspberry, everyone's appetites were restored. Drat! I had a lovely americano and we stayed chatting for a leisurely while. When we eventually left I was already plotting my return - Mezze not only had great food but has a lovely atmosphere and a shop selling much of their vittles. It is not to be missed. When I holiday there later during the summer, I will be lunching there every day without fail. Highly recommended.
