I ordered the Persian Valentine's day feat for two for home. It was indeed a feast. I got starter main and dessert for two people for 62€. Might sound expensive but it's not. I have leftovers for my lunch today. The meal came with very easy instructions on how to serve it. The starter was amazing, a mix of a lot of different little salads, olives, aubergine dip and more served with a big Persian flat bread. Main was a seitan fensingeng served with pilaf rice and pomegranates salad. The flavour was there with the freshness of the salad making every flavour so balanced. Dessert : Persian love cake and medjoul date in chocolate. The cake was so moist and sweet in such a good way. You can feel that the love of cooking was put into our meal. My taste buds were delighted. Thank you so much and we will be back.
I went to Mezze today for a bit of lunch. Staff is very nice (although I'm not a fan of being called "dear"). The food is very nice, but the reason for my 3 stars is the price. I had a vegan mushroom roll for 3.50€ which was tasty and in the menu it said "add salad 4.50€". Now, it was my fault not to ask if that meant 4.50 in total or added (the latter it was). The salad was 3 forkfuls of salad. A bit of lettuce, some grains and a yummie carrot salad, but it was totally overpriced. I work in hospitality and a local quality food store, so even with all the overheads, this was ridiculous. Plus, even pre covid, open cutlery on the table in vintage tomato tins wasn't a good idea, but from a hygiene point it is simply wrong.
We had a delicious lunch in Mezze yesterday, food fantastic and so fresh and tasty. Staff were wonderful as were the owners D'vir and his lovely wife. They very kindly signed a copy of their cookbook for us, really looking forward to trying their recipes. If you havnt tried Mezze you are missing a real treat. We can't wait to get back. Highly recommend eating here.
Really gorgeous food and delicious coffee. We sat in the sunny courtyard while the kids drew on the outdoor blackboard. The Tunisian orange cake was just divine and the baklava was special too. Some fabulous local produce and environmentally friendly products for sale too. The whole cafe is eco-friendly, from the recycled tins holding cutlery to the pots of sage and strawberries as table decorations. A really special place, so glad we found it, will definitely be back.
Love this restaurant, the food is amazing. They have great Vegan and Vegetarian options.
