With only a few weeks left of Winterval, here’s a handy itinerary to make the most of Ireland’s largest Christmas Festival before it’s all over on December 23.
From puppet shows to orchestras and live music…there is a host of theatre and choral events to enjoy throughout Winterval this year. Below are some of the performances not to be missed.
Attendees at Waterford’s Harvest Festival this Friday, Saturday and Sunday (September 8 to 10) can get ready to bop til you drop as Broad Street will be alive with the sound of music. Programmed by WAMA’s Trevor Darmody, local artists will take centre stage every day throughout the festival.
The countdown is on to the 14th annual Waterford Harvest Festival this weekend (September 8 to 10). We can look forward to a massive food market–nearly twice the size of the festival’s market last year!
Visitors to Waterford’s Harvest Festival this weekend (September 8 to 10) are invited to step into a world of culinary curiosity and thought-provoking discussions. GIY (Grow It Yourself) will present a captivating lineup of talks and debates that delve into the heart of pressing food issues with a series of free talks on the “Food Matters” stage, proudly sponsored by Waterford Chamber Skillnet.
Just as the sun is finally coming out and it’s already the end of the summer. But there’s one final weekend to get out and enjoy some live music all around the city and coast. Summer in the City exits with a bang with bands and DJ’s lined up from the Apple Market to O’Connell Street. Plus, Havenstock—The Haven Hotel’s small music festival—is on all weekend, starting with a George Michael tribute act tonight and ending on Sunday with a double bill of Queen and Guns and Roses tribute bands. Rock on…
With only two more weekends of Summer in the City, the beat goes on all around town. O’Connell Street hosts a Ska Weekend…Waterford Walls closes its 2023 festival with some brilliant music at the Forum Festival Hub…and the races are on in Tramore so the Vic is providing a great line-up with the Strobes, Renegades and Fuse Trio.
After the buzz of Spraoi and All Together Now last weekend, let’s keep the party rolling in Waterford for even more events and live music to look forward to this weekend. WLR/Sanofi Waterford Music Week Showcase, in association with Summer in the City, will host Backroad Smoker’s Club, Cal Pacino, 2Time Charlie, Conor Clancy, Big Yellow Jacket, Yung Shakur, Sara Lou, Shane Barry and One Morning in August on O’Connell Street from 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Waterford Walls returns tomorrow with a carefully curated programme featuring 10 days of street art, music, accessible workshops and guided tours.
The countdown is well and truly on for All Together Now 2023 on the 3,000-acre site at the stunning Curraghmore Estate in Portlaw. The festival, set across natural amphitheaters, rolling lawns, gentle hills, and hidden forests takes place this weekend.
Ireland’s premiere street arts fiesta, Spraoi International Street Arts Festival featuring performers from around the world, will transform Waterford streets and squares into outdoor stages on August 4th, 5th and 6th.
