Play “The Floor is Lava” with your kids

A fun game for the family to get you through the mid-term break and with further travel and other restrictions, it means more time will be spent at home. YAY…

This game will keep the kids active and on their toes and is a welcome break from screen time.

How to play?

The rules are simple; someone says “THE FLOOR IS LAVA”, and people have 5 seconds to get off the ground before they disintegrate into molten volcanic fluid!

With kids, we suggest planning your game space so that it is safe. Create areas on the floor, which are safe zones along with your other furniture which is safely accessible.

Hot lava monster

You can also change up the game to make it more fun and interactive. One person becomes the monster whose mission is to tag another player. The monster can only stay in the lava zones, and the players should try and keep moving around the room.

As always make sure your space is safe for the little ones before playing the game.
