I recently visited Waterford for just a few hours and decided to stop for breakfast here, and it turned out to be an excellent choice! The staff was exceptionally friendly, making me feel immediately welcome and well cared for. The food was outstanding—I ordered a mushroom omelette that came with two generous slices of fresh, delicious bread, accompanied by butter and a variety of sauces. It was hands down the best omelette I've ever had. Prices were surprisingly affordable, especially when compared to typical Irish standards. This place is definitely a hidden gem in Waterford and one I highly recommend!

La Alegria Cafe is a hidden gem in the heart of Waterford, offering a quintessential Irish experience with a delightful twist. The view of the picturesque park sets the scene for a relaxing dining experience, while the convenient parking makes it a stress-free choice for a meal out.
We decided to start our day with a takeaway breakfast from La Alegria Cafe, and we were not disappointed. The wait time was a bit longer than expected, but the warm and inviting staff made us feel right at home. They even provided a cosy outdoor seating area where we could enjoy our meal with our four-legged friend by our side - a thoughtful touch that truly enhanced our visit.
As we savoured our delicious breakfast, we couldn't help but admire the serene surroundings and soak in the tranquillity of the area. La Alegria Cafe proved to be the perfect pit stop for a delightful meal in a charming setting, making our visit to Waterford even more memorable.
If you're looking for a unique dining experience that combines great food, friendly service, and a beautiful view, look no further than La Alegria Cafe. It's a true gem that captures the essence of Irish hospitality in a truly special way.

La Alegeria cafe in Waterford is such a find . A neighbourhood cafe , absolutely delicious soup , today I had sausage sauerkraut , Bordeaux sandwich on Seagull bakery sourdough , pistachio cheesecake and really good coffee. Really friendly staff - a busy spot , easy to understand why !

Staff had the patience of saints, very child friendly (except they do not have baby/high chairs available). Food took a long time, but tasted great and was reasonably priced, so can't complain overall.
