Guillamene Swimming Cove Reviews

  • I visited the Guillamene with my son last Saturday. It's a fantastic resource and obviously very popular. The sun was just going down after a very hot day and the swimmers were having a great time. Such a beautiful setting too. Well done big time to the organizers of the venue. It was spotlessly clean.

  • Great swimming spot! I’d definitely be back and I’ll recommend it to everyone. 🥰 There is a large enough carpark, and bathroom facilities. There is a diving pier as well as stairs and ladders into the water. Only thing is that there is a lot of steps down to the swimming area, but if you can manage it is a wonderful spot.

  • Would love to swim here but it's too open to the elements and I'm not a strong enough swimmer, but on the opposite side is a better spot with a ladder to get in and out in a cove looks much safer

  • The diving board has been removed, but the experience was still amazing. My teenagers and husband had an amazing time jumping from the platform and a rock outcrop just across the little inlet. The grassy knoll at the top of the hill offered breathtaking views, and a place to dry off in the sun (we were blessed with AMAZING weather). There are toilets, however, don’t expect much. It is, after all, a swimming hole. Great experience! Should definitely be on your list for a thrilling time!

  • Lovely place to have a swim or a dive, if you don't mind the cold water of Irish sea. On one side of the parking, the quay, steps and the platform make it easy to get in deep water (6 to 10mt, depending on tides). On the opposite side a small pebble beach allows to enter more gradually or to stay in shallow water. From the same cove you can access the gorgeous Newtown woods and the walk to the Metalman pillars
