Christ Church Cathedral

Hear the church bells ring on Sundays. Designed by Georgian Architect, John Roberts, the church is where Strongbow was married to Aoife, daughter of Diarmait Mac Murchada, King of Leinster in 1170 and is one of the most historic buildings in Ireland.

Christ Church Cathedral Reviews

  • Small cathedral, not as well known perhaps as others but still beautiful and welcoming in it's own "petite" way.

  • Great location for the Christmas choir concert during Winterval each year. Acoustics are great.

  • This cathedral serves both as a place of worship and a concert venue. Your expectations will be exceeded no matter what reason you attend, plus the place is steeped in history. If you enjoy listening to church bells ringing, turn up at 9.30 any Sunday morning, and you will be impressed!!

  • A beautiful building, the craftsmanship is simply amazing, from the the woodwork to the stone mason carvings. The staff were lovely and welcoming. She enraged with the kids and made the visit nice and enjoyable for them.
