Treacys Hotel Waterford Reviews

  • First visit to Southern Ireland with a popular bus tour company We stayed at Tracy's Hotel Waterford on a bed, breakfast and evening dinner basis. The rooms were clean comfortable and well equipped and we had a view of the river just across the road. The breakfast was buffet style and had a good choice of quality sausage, bacon, black pudding, white pudding fried, scrambled or boiled egg and the toast was made for you. Tea, coffee, fruit juices and various cerials and fruit were also available. The dinners were a three course with a choice of three items for starters, three for main course and a buffet desert. The food was very good quality and well presented by very friendly staff who served you. Overall a very good hotel, well situated for access to the town centre and local supermarkets were situated close by. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel for a place to stay and get a good night's sleep.

  • This is a very friendly staff hotel with staff and customers alike . We have been coming to Tracy's for a numbers of years and will always return. Downside side would be the food with the exception of breakfast which I like. The rooms are very warm in winter but rooms could do with a upgrade at some stage. Music very good when it's on. I'm One thing for sure it's a very well run hotel staff are always obliging and helpful at all times plus we have met some very nice customers over the years

  • We brought our 8 year daughter as a Christmas present and she had a ball. The rooms are small and a little dated but are comfortable, clean and warm. The bath in the bathroom was tiny but the bathroom was clean and the shower worked perfectly. The swimming pool is really nice and clean but a little chilly so we didn't stay in there long. We ate in both the bar and restaurant on different nights and the food and service were both excellent. The location was perfect for walking around. Every member of staff we met were just lovely and really are a credit to the hotel. We'd stay again.

  • Stayed here with my brothers, our wives and my adult son for a birthday celebration. The room was clean and tidy, all staff were always well turned out and very polite, very quiet experience compared with my last stay. I didn't appreciate being the couple who were refused the meal deal but I suppose there has to be a limit. Instead I ate at a neighbouring Indian restaurant, EastEnders which was excellent in price, quality and attitude. Whilst the hotel is not central it is within walking distance of the shopping main street and tourist features. Perfect for car touring the Bronze Coast too. The streets directly behind the hotel around its carpark provision could do with some cleaning attention, though not the hotels fault. Give the clock museum a visit entertaining on a wet Irish afternoon with friendly staff. Very enjoyable stay loved the use of the pool. A real highlight.
