It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Fancy sleighing a dragon to two at the Wizards and Dragons interactive exhibition at City Hall? Or how about catching a movie with the kids at the outdoor cinema at The Apple Market?
This year’s magical winter festival kicks off 4.15 pm on Saturday, November 23rd with Santa Claus turning on the festive lights, accompanied by the Mayor of Waterford and local radio station WLR FM. Local band, Brass & Co. will be there to help put everyone in the Christmas spirit with playing some dashing tunes and a little jingle bells for sure!
So wrap up and get yourself down to visit some of the best Christmas festivities around and probably one of Ireland’s biggest Christmas festivals, now in its 8th year.
Fancy a train ride on the Winterval Express?
Every year, kids and adults alike get the chance to experience the magic of Christmas in Waterford through a very special train ride around the city. The experience is even better at night when the city is all lit up and looking very festive indeed!
