Say hello to Vicky & Willie – Waterford.FYI’s Official Mascots

Welcome to the world of Vicky and Willie, Waterford’s mischievous new mascots! Yer’Wan and Yer’Man, as they are more fondly known, are based on the Vikings, the oldest known inhabitants of Ireland and from the country’s oldest city, Waterford. We are so excited to introduce you to these two troublemakers and can’t wait to show you all the fun and adventures they will have!

Say hello to Yer’Wan… AKA Vicky

Vicky was born to a Viking family that was well-known for their strength and courage. Her parents, both fierce warriors, raised her to be the same. She was taught how to fight, hunt, and survive in the harsh environment of the Norse lands.

From an early age, Vicky was always up for a challenge. Whether it was competing in the village’s annual wrestling tournament or going on daring expeditions in the wild, she was always the first to jump in. Her reckless nature and boldness earned her the respect of her peers, but at the same time, she was often reprimanded by her father for her rash decisions.

As she grew older, Vicky developed a strong bond with Willie, her childhood sweetheart and soulmate. Together, they pushed each other to greater heights and faced the toughest challenges head on. With Willie by her side, Vicky felt like she could conquer anything.

As the years passed, Vicky’s reputation as a fierce warrior girl only grew. She was the leader of her village, inspiring others to follow their own paths and never back down from a challenge. She showed that women could be just as strong, courageous, and fierce as men, and that it was possible to break stereotypes.

Meet Yer’Man… AKA Willie

Willie was born to a large Viking family, the youngest of seven children. Growing up, he was always looking for a way to stand out amongst his siblings, so he took to antics and pranks to make sure he was always the centre of attention. His family and friends loved him, but they couldn’t help but shake their heads at his mischievousness.

As Willie grew older, he started to get in more and more trouble. He was always looking for a way to have a good laugh, no matter how dangerous it was. He was drawn to adventure and danger, and he often found himself in the middle of trouble.

But, despite his wild ways, Willie had one true love: Vicky. Vicky had been his best friend since they were children and he had been hopelessly in love with her since the day they met. She was his moral compass and kept him in check when his wild side got the better of him.

Willie and Vicky were inseparable and despite his mischievous ways, she always believed in him and saw the good in him. Willie knew that he had to be careful not to let his wild side get the better of him, or he would risk losing the one thing he held most dear.
