We want you to design a flag that represents the Ireland of today, just like the Irish tricolour did 175 years ago. It’s a symbol of peace and harmony, and we want your flag to inspire the same values for our country.
All primary school children in Waterford are welcome to enter the competition. Just download the entry form and get started. Remember, the deadline for entries is 16th March 2023, so don’t wait too long!
Flag Competition Prizes
The best part? The winner will receive a €30 voucher for the Book Centre in Waterford and their artwork will be featured on the Thomas Francis Meagher Celebration Committee’s social media channels. Imagine seeing your flag design shared with the world!
But wait, there’s more. Two runner-up prizes of €10 vouchers for the Book Centre will also be presented, so don’t be afraid to give it your all.
Flag Competition Rules
Remember to follow the rules: only one entry per person, and your design must be returned to any Waterford library by the deadline. And most importantly, have fun with it! We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
