The Strand

Location is amazing. Really nice welcoming place. Only stopped in for a drink but food looked good and plenty of seafood options on the menu. The background music was fab and the pint was good. Plenty of staff on so I imagine food service was also good. Will return and hopefully stay , might be able to give it 5 stars then.

Stopped by for lunch and this place had a lovely atmosphere and an amazing waterfront view. The patrons are a mix of families and older generations looking to enjoy the view and the wile away the day. Food was a little underwhelming, but the staff were lovely , that said I would highly recommend the mussels , and maybe I had misaligned expectations of the fish pie. This is the “must visit” spot of Dunmore east

What can I say about The Strand Inn. As one previous review said the reception area is hard to find, as you come in the front door it leads to the bar and then through another area to the back of the building and the reception is a tiny desk. But saying that we were met by Nora who was very welcoming and friendly. I can say that about all staff extremely friendly and efficient. They were constantly clearing, cleaning and serving tables. Our room had a lovely sea view and very comfortable spotlessly clean. Food in the bar was very good but limited menu which I can appreciate considering the amount of food they serve daily. Only thing I have to say is the hotel could definitely do with a bit of updating very tired especially in the downstairs bar area. Couldn't find a better place to sit outside on a summers day. Staff 100% food very good just a bit of a spring clean and updating in the downstairs area.

I was here at a family function and the food was excellent but the young waiting staff were just great. A number of coeliacs were well accommodated too. Will definitely be back

We had such a lovely stay in the family room. Amazing view from the window. The staff were so lovely and plentiful. Great breakfast too. Very central too. Will definitely be back
