The Riverside Cottage Reviews

  • We were here last summer, and it feels like the menu was bigger then, more options to choose from. But it was great nonetheless; we ordered seafood pie and fishcakes, they were lovely. I really like Aperol Spritz here, so big and tasty! And back in summer I also had a nice salmon sandwich here.

  • Excellent food and good surroundings. Went on a Saturday for lunch and didn't book a table. Upon entering we were asked if we are to stay could we leave in an hour. We would of probably been gone by then but don't like to be asked to leave within a time frame. We drove over 30 minutes to get there so we decided to stay. Prices are reasonable and plenty of staff on hand. Free parking and easy to find. Would like to point out that children can bring in phones or tablets to be watched, not a problem, keeps them amused but can be too loud to the point that I never want to hear of peppa pig again! Would recommend for young families.

  • I would highly recommend the Riverside Cottage to anyone who enjoys wholesome hearty food in a cozy sort of environment. Staff are friendly and helpful. And do their best to make your visit there very enjoyable. Food comes well presented and tasty. Best reserve ahead of time, esp if you are hoping to enjoy a meal on the weekends.

  • Dropped in for a bite to eat while at the near by Waterford Hospital. Staff are very nice and friendly and a good atmosphere to the place . Some signage needed to direct you in might help as it looked closed when I got there but after finding the way in all was good . Small delay on food but overall a nice experience. I'll go back again for sure.

  • This quaint little place was a little off the beaten path, it had plenty of parking and a great atmosphere, the staff were very pleasant and professional and the service was very quick, We ordered the chicken wings for starters, they were nothing special very generic flavour a little tough but not the worst I have had. We ordered the fish and chips and have to say they were great, from the nicely portioned fish in the very crisp and light batter was full of flavour, to the very good quality chips they were almost like the twice cooked chips I do at home, some of the best chips I have had in a pub EVER, To the mushy peas and tarter sauce, The experience here was very good a I would definitely go back to try other stuff on the menu, I took away the 1 star due to the poor performance of the wings everything else was great 👍
