The Munster

The Munster Bar is another favourite with great food, lovely decor and a cozy atmosphere located just at the back of The Reg. Sports fans can watch their favourite matches too.

The Munster Reviews

  • Great old Brown Bar in Dutch terms, real local joint with snugs, nice and cozy. Great beer and whiskey. Some local gentlemen discussing sports, news of the day and the like. Friendly and helpful bartender got us Downes whiskeys, which evidently was chartered centuries ago here in Waterford.

  • Charming spacious spot. We found ourselves in the front room, which was very cozy, with a perfectly poured Guinness. Staff was friendly. It felt very homely and comfortable.

  • Had a pre dinner drink here with my daughter, taking in some World Cup football. Enjoyed the hospitality and some repartee with other patrons. Good Guinness.

  • This was easily the best food we had in Ireland!! Our bartender was very sweet (Anna, I believe) and we even got to meet the bee keeper as he was preparing to smoke the bees. The Guinness was tasty ans my vegetarian meal was absolutely spectacular. It was so flavorful and filling- I loved every bite and couldn't quite finish. We were traveling from the states without a data plan, so we were very thankful for the use of WiFi here as well. Thanks for a great visit!
