Dunmore Cliff Walk

This is a perfect family walk for the weekend. It goes from Dunhill to Annestown and back, with plenty to see along the way – spot the swans, dragonflies, butterflies and fairy doors. Made for kids.

  • Nice walk for all ages and fitness. We're young enough and it's a nice walk with plenty of flexibility to turn around at points. For sure bring some swimming gear as you'll not want to miss some of the chances to swim The trail is nice wide and open and generally and grass/well worn trails

  • On a sunny day this is stunning! 😍... Definitely worth the trip in all weather though. Get a dip in one of the Coves during your hike then grab a bite to eat at East Pier after you're finished. Loved it.

  • Nice walk even for the youngsters like 5yrs old. Free(!) car park in Dunmore East at the start (end?) of the trial. Pretty flat with few dips.

  • It's a lively walk but could do with more signposting of where to get off if you don't want to go all the way to the end. Also some nature signposting would be helpful. If you have young kids be aware there is no fence blocking the cliff edges.

  • Great walk - very easy until you get to Portally Cove right at the end. Even then, it's still easy, but quite steep downhill and then up the other side again. 100% worth it though!
