Dooley’s Hotel Waterford

Wanted to grab some quick, good food before catching our bus to Cork. A lovely waitress seated us, was happy to take our order straight away and advise us on which foods will be the fastest. Our chicken ceaser salad came out super quickly as promised and was delicious. Definitely considering coming back again - its a much better option for something to eat than snacks from centra between our buses.

My Daughter Jenna and I stayed here one night and I can't praise this hotel enough. Absolutely spotlessly clean, beds so comfortable. The staff really friendly and attentive. The Breakfast was the best I've had in a long time. The price was fantastic and I will definitely be back in the future.

Nice room, friendly staff and great location. Our highlight was the restaurant simply because of the staff. Our server, Karen, made our night by being so lovely and humourous. The food was very nice and they had vegetarian options which was a plus for me. Lovely place altogether!

Back when I was working in the city center, 'The New Ship Restaurant' at Dooley’s Hotel became my go-to spot for lunch. It was the perfect place to escape the workday rush for a bit, grab a good meal, and just enjoy a relaxed atmosphere. The staff there were always super friendly and welcoming, making sure everything ran smoothly. Even when it was busy, the service was quick and efficient, so I never had to stress about getting my food in time. Speaking of food, I really loved their soup of the day - always fresh, flavorful, and served with delicious bread. But honestly, everything I tried was tasty, well-prepared, and served fast enough to fit perfectly into my one-hour break. Another small but important detail? The place was always spotless, including the restrooms, which were easy to find and well-maintained - something you don’t always think about until it’s a problem, but here, it never was. Looking back, I really appreciated having a spot like this where I could take a break, enjoy some good food, and just unwind for a bit. If I ever find myself back in Waterford, I’ll definitely be stopping by again!

A really lovely experience. We were here to visit local family, and were made very welcome. Various family members came over to the hotel during our stay for drinks, food and coffees, and were made welcome and comfortable by the lovely staff. Particular shout out to Anna, who went out of her way to help us out every opportunity and was a pleasure to interact with. Also the gentleman who was overseeing breakfast on Sunday 19/1/25 was great, warm and helpful. We’ll definitely stay again. Thank you!
