The forest is a natural continuation along the Mahon river, replacing the mountainous valley with the Mahon waterfall. A wonderful walk on a spring day among the blossoms. The first surprise was at the beginning of the path at the sight of the ruins of a mill on the opposite bank of the river. The paved path along the river sometimes rises up, then smoothly runs down to the river.

Such a lovely place. Beautiful! A lovely mix of flora and fauna and a breathtaking stream meandering through the woods over a bolder filled course. Loved everything about this amenity. The colours, the smells, the sounds, the diversity and the peace.

Just love this place. Not far from Mahon Falls in the Comeragh's. You can park and hike from here all the way to the falls. There's a main path and also a stream side trail which I'd recommend. So calming and scenic. You can dip in odd pools under mini waterfalls along the trail.

What a hidden gem. Right on our doorstep. We've driven past it so many times without realising what was down that little pathway. Hours go by like minutes. Well maintained and safe for all.
