Join the Craic: Waterford’s St. Patrick’s Day Festivities
Experience the Magic of St. Patrick’s Day in Waterford
If you’re in Waterford come March, you’re in for a treat! The city bursts into life with a vibrant, four-day festival celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. From Friday, March 14th to Monday, March 17th, the streets will be buzzing with excitement, thanks to the efforts of Waterford City and County Council, Fáilte Ireland, and EveryEvent.
Saints & Scholars: A Celebration of Heritage
This year’s theme, Saints & Scholars, is all about showcasing Waterford’s rich heritage. Picture parades, carnivals, and music filling the city, all while paying homage to St. Patrick and Waterford’s own Scholar, Luke Wadding – a notable 16th-century figure.
A Festive Atmosphere Across the City
The city centre will be transformed into a lively hub, with music and dance stages set up in spots like the Apple Market, John Roberts Square, and O’Connell Street. Expect historical talks, tours, a wobbly circus, and theatre performances. And don’t forget the fairground and food markets offering a delicious array of choices!
