If food festivals and fun are your thing, you’ve come to the right place!

Harvest 2020, some Spraoi fun and Tramore's new Vitamin Sea Festival all kick off this September.

September is almost upon us. Here in Waterford, we just love to have fun, eat good food, and spend time outdoors. WaterfordFYI is always on the lookout for fun things to do around our town and county, and if we get the chance to enjoy ourselves and munch on great, local food (all while socially distancing, of course) then you can count us in. Without further ado, read on to find out what this year’s Harvest Festival of food has in store for you and how a re-imagined Spraoi 2020 is treating us all to a little bit of magic. And for the first time, Tramore hosts it’s very own Vitamin Sea Festival. Find out all the details below.

Whet your appetite at Harvest Festival 2020

On September 11th, 12th & 13th, this year’s eagerly awaited festival of food is happening at venues all around Waterford and promises to be three days of foodie heaven! There’s free, ticketed and online events where you can view demos from the Gastro Gays, hear from well known Irish chef Eunice Power, attend a harvest food appreciation dinner at Everett’s restaurant and eat local produce at the Wasted Supper Club at Grow HQ. There’s also kids craft workshops and the chance to do Yoga With Katie. If that’s not enough to fill your diaires, see what all the buzz is about at the Waterford Honey Show or taste some pure whiskey at Waterford Distillery. Round it all off with an evening walk in Mount Congreve. Havest promises to leave you happy and belly full. Not to be missed.

Spraoi means fun

There’s never a dull moment when Spraoi comes to town! From September 4th to 13th, Spraoi will treat us to some outdoor, safe entertainment every evening from 8.30 pm to 10.30 pm. There might not be fireworks or a big parade but no doubt, they’ll delight just like they’ve always done. Looking forward to it.

Alas, not in 2020 – but Maurice at Blue Shed has put together a little video to remind us of previous years. Spraoi will be at home in the streets and squares of Waterford from the 4th to the 13th of September in a new event from 8.30pm to 10.30pm every evening – reimagined to keep us all safe until we can get back to normal.
