St. Patrick's Day

Celebrate St. Patricks day – virtually.

It’s not all bad. Sadly, COVID-19 means all-day sessions with your friends are out the window on March 17th. However, this doesn’t mean you can’t have a few drinks with your friends on the day – virtually at least.

Get your session in full swing

Why not set up a group video session to have a chat and a few beers? There are plenty of apps out there where you can chat and see each other online. FaceTime allows you do a video call with up to 32 people at one time, definitely enough people to party virtually with. WhatsApp is also pretty good for video calls with friends and very easy to use.

Some of you may have used Google Hangouts already. Really good for voice and video group calls. Finally, an app a bit like Slack and popular with a lot of teams at work, there’s one that’s particularly popular with gamers called Discord.

Plenty of great apps out there to hang out with your friends and family on St. Patricks Day 2020 in Waterford.

Online party game ideas

Some countries that are on lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic have seen a surge in online gaming.

Skribbl.io is one such game that seems to be very popular and you might just have a bit of craic with during your session. Check it out. Think of it as a bit like Pictionary over drinks with buddies!

Podcast for drinking alone

If you fancy drinking alone this St Patrick’s day, then have a listen to the Drink with Friends podcast. It’s sure to keep you entertained.

Happy St Patrick’s Day to everyone. It’s one we won’t forget. The day the pubs were closed…
