2. Muse, 92 the Quay

As well as a wide range of clothing from top designers, Muse has some beautiful accessories. This Christmas, treat her to a Peelo bag or pick up some Laboratory perfume. If you’re planning on buying a pre-Christmas gift, then you can’t go wrong with getting a dress, top or coat from their fashionable range to wear to the work Christmas party or for nights out over the festive period with friends. Go sparkly or go home!

3. cc creatives, 87/88 Meagher’s Quay

cc creatives have gifts for everyone. I loved the Roka Bags they have in store. Ideal as a carry-on bag when travelling. The 500-piece Gin Puzzle is a fun stocking filler too. Have a few gin and tonics on Christmas night and take on the challenge of solving it.

4. The Vintage Factory, 19 Michael Street

Originally located in Waterford’s Cultural Quarter, The Vintage Factory moved to Michael Street. They still have the same friendly and helpful staff and a wide range of vintage clothes. Treat the vintage-lover in your life to a 1970’s suede jacket or stand out and be festive in a sparkly top. Oh, and for your “12 Pubs of Christmas” night, get a naff Christmas jumper here from their extensive selection!

5. Spokes Cycles, 20 Patrick’s Street

Electric bike 1

This is on the “for him” list too, but the ultimate gift this year is an Electric bike. Head in to Spokes and they’ll talk you through their range and give you the guidance you need to choose the perfect one. Say goodbye to arduous hills and long spins—with an electric bike, cycling will be a breeze.

6. Harlow Jewellery, 15 Bailey’s New Street

Harlow jewellery

Relatively new to Waterford’s independent store scene, Harlow is a lovely shop with gorgeous jewellery pieces. If you’re not ready to pop the big question just yet, they have beautiful stack rings which are popular as a “promise ring.” If you are ready to get down on one knee, then owner Lisa Statham can design a bespoke engagement ring for you. You can also pick up some stunning earrings and necklaces here.

7. Gene O’Shea Jewellery, 11 Henrietta Street

Gene O’Shea specialises in quality, handmade pure silver jewellery. He developed his knack for design and creativity as a master craftsman at Waterford Crystal and takes inspiration from his locality in Ireland’s Ancient East. If you pop into him on Henrietta Street you’ll see him designing and polishing right there at his workshop. Treat the one you love to one of his unique creations—earrings or a necklace from his range of heritage pieces.

8. MC’s Outdoor Store, 46 Merchants Quay

MC’s Outdoor Store is a great place to pick up some stocking fillers that are always handy to have. The hiking socks and neck warmers caught my eye (if anyone who knows me is reading this!).
